These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Youth Matters website, platform, services, content and related features (“Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Services.

1. About The Youth Matters

The Youth Matters is an India-focused platform intended to provide a community and related services for eligible individuals aged 18–32 years. The specific services, features and offerings available may change from time to time.

2. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Meet the applicable age requirement of 18–32 years
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Complete age verification when required
  • Use your own identity and account
  • Comply with these Terms and applicable law.

Persons below 18 years are not permitted to use the Services.

3. Age Verification

We may require you to complete OCR-based age verification using a valid government-issued identification document. The purpose is to establish that you meet the platform's age requirements.

The Youth Matters does not retain the uploaded government ID after verification, subject to limited temporary processing or retention by an authorised verification provider where applicable.

Attempting to bypass, manipulate or falsify the verification process may result in immediate restriction or termination of your account.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Keeping login credentials secure
  • Preventing unauthorised access to your account
  • Not sharing your account with others
  • Informing us of suspected unauthorised activity.

You must not create an account using another person's identity.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services to:

  • Break the law
  • Harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate others
  • Impersonate another person
  • Commit fraud or deception
  • Facilitate scams
  • Distribute malware or malicious material
  • Attempt unauthorised access
  • Abuse platform features
  • Publish another person's private information without permission
  • Upload unlawful or harmful content
  • Sexually exploit or abuse another person
  • Share intimate content without consent
  • Circumvent age verification
  • Spam or manipulate the platform
  • Engage in conduct that threatens the safety or integrity of the community.

6. User Content

You may be able to submit posts, comments, photographs, videos, messages, reviews or other material. You remain responsible for content you submit. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to submit content.

By submitting content, you grant The Youth Matters the permissions reasonably necessary to host, display, reproduce, distribute and otherwise use that content for operating and providing the Services, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.

7. Content Moderation

We may review, restrict, remove or disable content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law or the safety of our users. Depending on the circumstances, we may also warn, suspend or terminate accounts.

8. Intellectual Property

The Youth Matters name, branding, logos, website design, software, text, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to The Youth Matters unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our protected materials without permission.

9. Payments

Certain Services may require payment. Prices, taxes, payment methods and applicable conditions will be displayed before or during the relevant transaction. Payment-related matters are governed by our Payment Terms & Refund/Cancellation Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services may use or link to third-party services, including payment, verification, hosting, analytics or communication providers. Third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

11. Availability

We aim to keep the Services available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may temporarily suspend or modify Services for maintenance, security, technical reasons or other legitimate purposes.

12. Disclaimer

The Services are provided on an “as available” and “as reasonably provided” basis, subject to applicable law. The Youth Matters does not guarantee that every interaction, user, post, transaction or offline activity will be safe, accurate, reliable or suitable. Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and caution.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Youth Matters will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services where:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Community Guidelines are violated
  • Age eligibility cannot be established
  • Fraud or abuse is suspected
  • There is a security risk
  • Required by law
  • Continued access could harm users, the platform or third parties.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
