Payment terms and refund/cancellation policy

How payments, cancellations and refunds work for paid offerings on The Youth Matters.

Last updated: 10.10.2026

These Payment Terms govern payments made for products, services, events, memberships, subscriptions or other paid offerings provided through The Youth Matters.

1. Prices

All prices will be displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, may be included in or added to the displayed price as required. The final payable amount will be shown before completion of a transaction where reasonably practicable.

2. Payment Methods

  • Credit and debit cards
  • UPI
  • Net banking
  • Wallets
  • Other payment methods made available through our payment partners.

Available payment methods may vary.

3. Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers. We may not receive or store complete payment credentials such as full card numbers or banking passwords where payment processing is handled directly by the payment provider. You may also be subject to the payment provider's terms and policies.

4. Order or Booking Confirmation

An order or booking may be declined or cancelled where:

A payment does not necessarily constitute acceptance of an order or booking until confirmation is issued by The Youth Matters where confirmation is required.

  • Payment fails
  • Information provided is inaccurate
  • Fraud or abuse is suspected
  • Requested service is unavailable
  • A technical or pricing error occurred
  • Cancellation is required for legal or operational reasons.

5. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, you may be asked to retry using the same or another available payment method. The Youth Matters is not responsible for failures caused by banks, payment providers, network problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the product, service, event, subscription or transaction involved. Where a specific offering has its own refund terms, those terms will apply and will be displayed before purchase where reasonably practicable.

Where no specific refund terms are provided, refund requests may be considered based on whether the service has been delivered, cancellation timing, whether the transaction is refundable, technical or payment errors, duplicate payments, applicable law and the circumstances of the request.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

7. Cancellation by User

Where cancellation is available, the applicable cancellation deadline and any associated charges will be communicated with the relevant offering. Cancellation requests may be submitted from the session in your profile, or by writing to info@theyouthmatters.com.

8. Cancellation by The Youth Matters

We may cancel an order, booking or event because of:

  • Operational circumstances
  • Safety concerns
  • Insufficient availability
  • Technical problems
  • Force majeure events
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Other legitimate reasons.

Where applicable, eligible users will be informed about available refund or alternative arrangements.

9. Events

Events may have their own terms, covering:

  • Booking deadlines
  • Cancellation deadlines
  • Refund eligibility
  • Transferability
  • No-show conditions
  • Rescheduling
  • Venue changes
  • Other event-specific requirements.

Where an event is cancelled by The Youth Matters, any applicable refund or alternative arrangement will be communicated to affected users.

10. Subscriptions

If subscription services are offered, the subscription page will specify subscription price, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation process and applicable refund conditions.

11. Promotional Offers

Promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions, eligibility requirements and expiry dates. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional benefits cannot be converted into cash.

12. Incorrect Pricing

If a material pricing error occurs, The Youth Matters may cancel the affected transaction and, where payment has already been received, provide an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable law.

13. Chargebacks

Users should contact The Youth Matters regarding a disputed transaction before initiating a chargeback where reasonably possible. Fraudulent or abusive chargeback activity may result in account review or restriction, subject to applicable law.

14. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be initiated through the applicable payment channel. The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the payment provider or bank.
